SHIN-SHIN-TOITSU-DO: PRESSURE ON THE HEARING ACCESS AND STIMULATION OF THE SKULL BASE
This exercise is intended to have a beneficial effect on the health of the inner ear and eardrum.
With the pose shown in Figure 1, press your palms firmly against your ears. Apply pressure for a few seconds and then remove your hands from your ears. Cover your ears with your palms three times and then quickly remove them.
In the third repetition, gently close your eyes and tilt your head slightly. Then, while you cover your ears with your palms, tap the base of the skull with your fingertips, as shown in Figure 2. Continue this tap for a few seconds.
Then open your eyes and simultaneously remove your palms from your ears. Raise your arms above your head and continue to move them in semicircles down to the hara, where you connect your fingers, palms down, in front of the lower abdomen (Figure 3).
