Yoga is a great way to improve your health and shape, as well as deal with stress. Even if you do not have the opportunity to do yoga in the gym under the guidance of an experienced trainer, you may well do yoga at home. Once upon a time, just starting to study yoga, we wondered: which yoga guide to choose? We are happy to share our findings with you.
Yoga for Beginners: Home-Viewers
So, we had a goal: to find yoga video tutorials. We tried many options, but some lacked consistency, others suggested starting immediately with complex elements, and in others yoga was more like ordinary physical education.
As a result, two video courses of different coaches were found – both wonderful in their own way.
The first is called Yoga for Dummies by Sara Ivanhoe. This program includes two parts – beginner and advanced level.
Sara Aivengo is an experienced yoga instructor and just a wonderful person. In her videos, she simply, but very accurately and clearly talks about the basic principles of yoga, as well as how to perform asanas, i.e. yoga poses. In the first video, she gives a complex of 12 of the simplest and most important asanas, which she calls the “day dozen.”
Also, the first video lesson Sarah debunks popular myths, because of which many completely in vain refuse to practice yoga.
When you master the initial level, you can go to the advanced level, which contains a different set of asanas, but under the guidance of Sarah you will also cope with them.
Sarah herself says that it amazes her how quickly people learn yoga. This is true, but, as it seems to us, to a large extent it depends on the instructor. Therefore, if you decide to stay at the video lessons, we safely recommend you Sarah’s lessons.
